Police have released CCTV images of a suspected flasher who is thought to have exposed himself to a woman on a train before getting off at Northampton.

Detectives from the British Transport Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify the man, who exposed himself while on board a train between Nuneaton and Northampton.

The incident took place on Sunday, October 28.

Detective Chief Inspector John Pyke said: “A male passenger, who was in the company of three other men on board a train from Crewe, was seen to wander up and down a carriage speaking to female passengers.

“When the train was travelling through the Nuneaton area, the man exposed himself to a female passenger.

“The victim complained to the man about his behaviour and he then became aggressive towards her.

“Although unhurt, the woman was understandably upset and alarmed by his behaviour.”

The man got off the train when it arrived at Northampton station.

DCI Pyke added: “Enquiries have been ongoing to trace the man in these photographs but to no avail so far.

“I would, therefore, appeal to anyone who knows this man’s identity, or his current whereabouts, to contact BTP straight away as I believe he will have information which can assist the investigation.”

Anyone with information should call the British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

In all calls, please quote incident reference B7/WWA of 29/11/2012.
