Police are hunting a man thought to be behind a trio of burglaries on the same Northampton estate.
All three break-ins happened in Standens Barn between 8pm and 9.30pm last Saturday and Sunday and in each incident the offender wandered in through an unlocked door before stealing a handbag.
Northamptonshire Police has no description of him apart from he was white.
Inspector Andrew Thomason, from the Northampton East Safer Community Team, said: “The incidents occurred on Mapperley Drive, The Fairoaks and Cattagewell Court and we believe them to be linked. If anyone has any information about these incidents, please contact us on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
“We are urging residents to keep their properties secure by locking doors at all times, even when in the house.”
