Detectives hunting the murderer of David ‘Les’ Ross have said they are pleased with the response following an appeal on BBC’s Crimewatch last night.

The officers leading the investigation into the murder of Corby man Mr Ross said they were working to establish if they could establish any new leads following the appeal.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Kinchin, said: “Some useful information was received as a result of last night’s show, which we will now be working through to establish if any significant detail has come to light.

“We are sure there are still people in Corby, or further afield, who may have vital information in helping us to establish who was responsible for the death of Mr Ross.

“We are grateful to everyone who has come forward so far. But if you haven’t and saw Mr Ross at any time on the day of his death, Monday, December 17, or the weekend before, then please come forward now.

“We are also keen for any information about the property that was stolen from Mr Ross’s home on December 14, namely an iPhone, a BlackBerry PlayBook and a laptop computer.”

If anyone believes they have information about this incident, they can call police on 101 and ask for Operation Lane, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
