TOWN LEAGUE ROUND-UP: Chambers at the double for Harlequins

Harlequins eased to a 4-0 premier division success over Sporting Lings courtesy of a double strike from Stefan Chambers and one apiece for Ryan Charles-Comery and Dan Healy.

JLB and Hardingstone fought out an exciting 2-2 draw with Neil Jarrett and Jonathan Lucas hitting the target for the Stones, while a Daniel Jennings brace accounted for JLB’s tally.

Yusen Logistics beat Thorplands Club 81 5-1, with Simon Nightingale netting twice to go with singles from Anton Kadusta, Marek Rzedzianowski and Leon Betts.

Bradley Mosedale scored Thorplands’ consolation.

Strikes from Will Yourney, Robin Harte and Steve Harris enabled Yardley United to record a 3-1 victory over Spartak, whose retort came via Adam Bazely.

In the NTFA Gorell Barnes Cup, Delapre Old Boys’ defence had a disappointing afternoon as they went down 3-2 to Wollaston Victoria despite a double from Gareth Errington.

New manager for the Town League Rep Team

The Town League have appointed a new manager for the Town League representative team.

Pete Gurnham takes over the reigns from the long serving Charlie Fleming who is stepping down through work commitments.

Gurnham will be assisted by Dave Sinclair and Liam Donavan.
