A MAN was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following a “severe” flat fire.
The blaze happened shortly after midnight at Overslade House, Overslade Close, Northampton.
A spokesman for Northampton Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighers managed to contain the fire to a single flat and a male was taken to hospital suffering smoke inhalation.
“The fire is not being treated as suspicious.”
Four crews from Mereway, the Mounts and Moulton attended the blaze.
