Officers have released CCTV pictures of a man stealing a bike saddle from Northampton station.
British Transport Police is appealing for information about the incident, which took place on Thursday, April 11.
Investigating officer PC Simon Cherrington said: “The victim, a 34-year-old man, left his cycle securely locked to the bike racks at the station about 11.30am. When he returned about 11.45pm, he noticed his bike saddle had been unscrewed and stolen.”
Officers have carried out a number of inquiries including viewing CCTV at the station, which shows a man arriving at the racks on a BMX around 2.15pm, before removing the saddle, putting it in his trousers and riding off.
PC Cherrington said: “The CCTV images are very clear and I’d urge anyone who recognised the man pictured to come forward and assist officers in this investigation.”
