Detectives have revealed they are hunting a gunman who raided a supermarket in Kingsthorpe.
Police have today appealed for information following the armed robbery, on Wednesday, between 9.50pm and 10pm, at the Co-op in Newnham Road, Kingsthorpe.
A police spokesman said: “A man entered the store brandishing a gun and demanded cigarettes. He ran out of the store with a bag full of cigarettes.
“The offender is described as a white man, aged in his late twenties to early 30s and between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins tall.
“He is described as wearing a white shirt underneath a black hooded top, which displayed a logo, black trousers and a black balaclava with eye and mouth holes.”
