Nine emergency vehicles have been called to a Northampton care home after a car crashed into a wall.
An occupant of a car has been taken by ambulance from the scene, outside Cliftonville Care Home, just before 6pm on Sunday May 5.
Their car seems to have been heading down Cliftonville in the direction of Bedford Road when for some reason it swerved off the road and hit the boundary wall of the site, leaving a large hole.
Firefighters cut the roof off the grey Ford so paramedics and doctors could get to the patient, who has been taken to Northampton General Hospital just around the corner in Cliftonville Road.
Three fire engines, three police cars, two ambulance and an EMICS emergency doctor’s car all attended the scene.
The driver was reportedly responding well to treatment at NGH but no details have been given as to the nature of their injuries.
