Cookery workshops to keep the children busy during half-term in Northamptonshire

Cookery workshops for children during the school holidays are being offered by Bay Tree Cottage in Farthingstone.

The hands-on workshops are available for children from pre-school to teenage and teach them how to cook a range of dishes from traditional, daily favourites to the more exotic unusual dishes, with detailed recipe sheets and course notes for each workshop to take home.

The workshops for 12 to 16-year-olds are as follows - Indian cookery, Tuesday May 28; Artisan bread making, Wednesday May 29; Italian pasta making, Thursday May 30; Homemade chocolates, Friday May 31. They run from 10am to 2pm and the cost for each session is £45, which includes all materials, ingredients and refreshments.

The sessions for the under 12s are as follows - Perfect picnics and packed lunches, Tuesday May 28; Cakes and sweets, Thursday May 30, Pizza and pasta, Friday May 31. There will be two sessions of each workshop on each date, one in the morning from 10am to noon and one in the afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. Cost per session is £17.50 for one adult and one child and £3.50 for an extra child (max 3 children per adult).
