Villagers in Creaton will once again be opening 12 of their gardens to the public on June 2.
A spokesman for the event, which runs from 1pm to 5pm and costs £4 to visit the gardens, said: “There is something for everyone at this great family day out, and we are therefore inviting everyone to come and enjoy our village’s beautiful gardens and bedecked village green.
“The Creaton Village Green, as a green should be, is tranquil, lush and surrounded by ancient trees.
“On Creaton In Bloom day we will have available barbecue lunches from noon until 2pm and both alcoholic and soft drinks from the bar throughout the afternoon, serenaded by our local jazz band playing live.
“Also, from the beautiful 12th century, flower-decked Church of St Michael & All Angels, on The Green, there will be songs and music from 2.30pm onwards celebrating the very recently refurbished church organ, itself more than 130 years old and in fine fettle.”
Proceeds are for the fabric fund of St Michael’s and All Angels Church.
