A driver was robbed at knifepoint as he responded to a hoax call to deliver pizzas and chips.
The attack happened on Friday, May 3, between 11.15pm and 11.35pm, in Thorn Hill, Northampton.
Police have only today revealed details of the incident.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “It is thought this was a hoax call and when the driver arrived, a man came round the corner and tried to steal the pizza bag.
“The driver and the man wrestled with the bag and the driver managed to keep it.
“At this point the offender pulled out a knife and demanded the pizza bag be placed on the ground. The victim did this and left.”
The attacker is white, 5ft 10in, in his 30s, with short dark hair.
