The Cobblers have announced they will travel to UCL Premier Division outfit Cogenhoe United for a pre-season friendly in July.
The match will be played at The Cooks’ Compton Park ground on Tuesday, July 16, with a 7.45pm kick off.
Town also played a pre-season game at Cogenhoe in 2012, and the set up and welcome the club received from Andy Marks, his players and staff impressed Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd.
“I am pleased we are able to go back to Cogenhoe,” said Town manager Boothroyd.
“We visited them during last pre-season for a friendly and they were excellent hosts, so it makes sense for us to go back there again as we prepare for the new season.”
Admission details will be confirmed in due course.
The new npower League Two season begins on Saturday August 3, and the Cogenhoe match is the first pre-season friendly to be announced by the club.
