Police have appealed for witnesses after three men were arrested when a brawl spilled onto a train platform following a concert by The Stone Roses in London.
British Transport Police (BTP) today made the appeal for information after the fight broke out on a Watford to Northampton train following the Stone Roses concert at Finsbury Park, in the early hours of Sunday, June 9.
Detectives say they believe the fighting started as the train left Watford station around 12.50am.
Pc Chris Woolley, the investigating officer, said: “We believe the altercation continued as the train was headed for Kings Langley.
“As the train arrived at the station, the altercation spilled out onto the platform, and, as a result, three men - aged 54, 24 and 22-years-old - were arrested on suspicion of affray.
“During the incident, a 19-year-old man was cautioned for being drunk and disorderly at the station.”
Officers are asking anyone who was on board the service and saw what happened to get in touch with police as they may have vital information key to the investigation.
Police say the service was extremely busy, so police are confident there are more witnesses who are yet to speak to police.
PC Woolley continued: “Although we have already made arrests in connection with the incident, it is vital that we hear from anyone who saw what happened.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, can really help us to build a fuller picture of the sequence of events that night.”
