Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the suspected murder of 72-year-old Giuseppe Miceli in Northampton on Saturday.
As reported by the Chron yesterday, Mr Miceli was found dead by ambulance staff at his bungalow in Bants Lane, on Saturday, July 13, at around 1.45pm.
A 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Police have now revealed he is from Wellingborough.
Forensic teams have again been at Mr Miceli’s home today, and carrying out searches in surrounding streets in Duston, Spencer and Dallington.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the Bants Lane area from lunchtime on Thursday, July 11, to the afternoon of Saturday, July 13, to call them on 101 or 03000 111 222, and dial extension 341078 for the incident room.
Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
