A caravan has been destroyed following an accident on the A45 in Northampton.
The police were called to the A45 just outside Grange Park at about 4.30pm on Sunday.
At the scene, they found a caravan had turned upside down and shattered into pieces on the slip-road into the BP service station.
The accident caused major tailbacks in the area while the road was cleared.
From the scene at about 5pm, special constable Aaron Griffiths Tweeted: “A45 westbound between Grange Park services and M1 roundabout blocked due to RTC.”
He later added: “A45 at Grange Park towards the M1. There are delays folks due to a collision with a caravan. Please avoid.”
The police officer also Tweeted the photo above from the scene.
It is not yet known if anyone was seriously injured in the accident.
