A passenger in a car which was involved in an accident in Northampton town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning received serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.
The accident happened at about 12.50am on St Andrew’s Road at its junction with Scarletwell Street,
Pc Dave Lee from Northamptonshire Police’s roads policing unit said it was believed a silver Toyota Corolla overtook a vehicle which was waiting to pull out of Scarletwell street, before colliding with a brick wall.
He said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or the driver of this vehicle waiting to pull out, to come forward.
“One of the passengers received serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.”
