Towcestrians RFC has been chosen as a venue for a new rugby camp led by ex-Saints players Grant Seely and Budge Pountney.

Both men played more than 200 games for Saints and represented their countries before retiring from the top flight to coach.

Seely and Pountney, who captained Saints, will lead the two-day rugby camp over the half-term break.

The camp is open to players from any club aged between eight and 15, of all abilities and both boys and girls.

Crispin Slee, chairman of Towcestrians mini and junior rugby section, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting this rugby camp at half-term.

“Grant and Budge will be using techniques which are only usually available for top players to help youngsters improve their game.”

The course takes place at Towcestrians RFC in Greens Norton Road, Towcester, on Thursday October 31 and Friday November 1.

It costs £30 per day and included in the price is an Adidas playing shirt. More details and booking forms are available at www.backrowrugby.com.
