Commuters travelling between Northampton and Euston faced delays this morning after a person was hit by a train north of Milton Keynes station.
London Midland, which operates trains between Northampton and the capital has been Tweeting about the collision.
It said: “Reports of person being hit by a train at Milton Keynes. All lines to/from Euston currently blocked, more info to follow when known.”
A subsequent message said: “Person hit by train just north of the station, all lines blocked while emergency services attend, more to follow.”
London Midland tickets are being accepted on East Midlands Trains, Chiltern Railways, First Capital Connect, Virgin Trains, Southern Rail and London’s Overground service.
Currently, two of the four lines are now open north of Milton Keynes.
Disruption is expected until 11am.
