Northampton’s Sarah Carter added the Bouverie Bowl to the County Championship title she claimed earlier in the year after shooting a net 75 at Northants County GC.
Home member Angela Duck took the gross award and almost made it a double in the Seniors County Championships at Priors Hall GC as she lost on countback to another Northampton member Theresa East following a 81.
Countback was also needed to decide first prize in the net comp as Lema Townsend (Overstone) edged out Carol Collins (Kingsthorpe) after both finished four clear with a net 72.
The Tazza Trophy, which was played at the Corby course on the same day, was claimed by Delapre’s Pamela Hibberd with a tally of 37 points.
Husband-and-wife Rod and Carol Gibbs (Wellingborough) secured the County Mixed Fourball Championships for the second time after carding 44 points at Whittlebury Park GC. The duo, who won their previous title in 1991, bagged an eagle and four birdies in a storming back nine of 25 points to finish two ahead of Brian Stronach (Collingtree) and Kathryn Stronach (Delapre).
