The owners of five young ponies are being sought after the animals were found wandering along a road in a village near Northampton.
Police officers found the ponies on Whiston Road, Cogenhoe, at around 7.30pm on Thursday.
The ponies are described as “cob type”, four of which are piebalds, or black and white, while the other is bay, dark brown with a black mane and tail and white markings.
The owner of these ponies, or anyone with information, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101, or alternatively information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
