CCTV footage showing the moment a gang of armed masked robbers attacked security guards in a bank before escaping with a ‘substantial’ amount of money has been released by police.
The robbery happened on Monday, November 26, at 8.30pm at the Nationwide bank in Bridge Street, Rothwell.
The footage shows three men pushing their way into the bank while a security guard tries to stop them. Once inside, the men attacked the guards.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The offenders make off on foot up School Lane with a substantial amount of cash.”
The men wore masks and were armed with crowbars.
One is described as white, about 25 years old and 6ft 5ins. He wore black jeans and a black hooded top.
