Yardley United were the talk of the Town as they brought Delapre Old Boys’ season-long unbeaten run in the premier division to an abrupt end with a 2-1 victory.
Yardley raced into a 2-0 lead courtesy of a goal apiece from William Yourney and Daniel Brockwell, and although Delapre pulled one back through Jake Hogben the villagers held on for a super win.
Hardingstone went nap as they beat Yusen Logistics 5-2 with double strikes from Matt Aitkinson and Martin Stones plus a solo effort from Neil Jarrett.
Matt Mullen and Marek Rzedzianowski netted Yusens’ consolation goals.
Spartak just edged out Duston Dynamo by the odd goal in three thanks to a well taken double from Frazer Francis while Ben Roddis scored Dynamo’s lone reply.
JLB got the better of Sporting Lings 4-2 with Dan Jennings helping himself to a hat-trick to go with a single from James Gallus. James Church scored twice to account for Sporting’s tally.
Harlequins rediscovered their scoring boots as they eased to a 6-0 triumph against Thorplands Club 81.
Steffon Chambers and Daniel Healy both found the target twice while Kerrith Belfon and the evergreen Les Watson netted one each. .

Northampton Town League Sixes sponsored by the Chronicle & Echo
The 18th Annual Northampton Town league six-a-side tournament, once again sponsored by the Chronicle & Echo, will take place at Spencer Football Club’s Kingsthorpe Mill ground, Studland Road, Northampton, on Saturday, July 6.
The following day, Sunday, July 7, the veterans over 35s competition will take place at the same venue.
