They claimed the title on the back of a seven-game winning run which also included a midweek win over Milton.
Welford’s failure to beat Brixworth sealed the crown, the teams taking a point apiece in a 2-2 draw.
Ryan Ansell scored the only goal as Moulton edged out Milton, while Roade suffered a shock 3-2 defeat at Ringstead.
Earls Barton sealed the first part of a potential treble, smashing six goals past Everards in the Division One Cup final. An early own goal gave Barton the lead, while substitute John Tarry came off the bench to add a hat-trick.
Matters in the league however are no closer to resolution, with Barton still needing seven points to seal the crown.
Kislingbury, Everards and Locos all realistically retain a chance of nipping in.
Everards’ draw at Medbourne could sound the death knell on their hopes, while Locos and Kislingbury both won to keep up the pressure. Kisl smashed six past Finedon Volta in a 6-2 win.
Wootton, however, surrendered any chance of doing so after a surprise 2-1 reverse at Orchard Park. Micky Ryan was the man on target for the visitors.
