Ellis Tiffin bagged the leading individual score of 45 points to help Silverstone claim a clean sweep of the main three prizes in the NGU Junior Inter Club Championships at Oundle GC.
The 19-handicapper lifted the Irish Cup by five points from three players, joined forces with Sebastian Balch to pick up the Shoe and Leather Cup for the best two combined club scores.
With Alex Sexton shooting 31 points, Tiffin’s Silverstone side also won the Scottish Cup by a single point from the host club. William Wood was the other Silverstone team member.
Ellie Darnell, who was representing Wellingborough, was the leading girl with 38 points.
NGU Stableford Cup
Kettering’s Will Ambery and Andy Robinson combined to perfection on their home track as they lifted the NGU Stableford Cup with a stunning score of 90 points.
The duo carded net pars on half the holes in the morning as they took the lead with 44 points, before Ambery smashed three successive gross birdies twice as the pair bagged a brilliant afternoon tally of 46.
Overstone’s Steve Warren and Ian Cave (83) finished second by three points from Wellingborough’s Paul Saunders and Adam Sherlock, with Andrew Pell and Neil McAllister (Overstone) in fourth on the same mark.
Australian Spoons
Brampton Heath’s Bryony Travill and Mary Evans came out on top in the Australian Spoons Midlands South Regional Final after shooting 37 points at Edgbaston GC.
The duo finished one ahead of Northants County’s Jenny Pook and Simon Williams to progress through to the National Final at Wilmslow GC, Cheshire on September 20.
Canadian Open
Kettering’s Charley Hull backed up her starring role in Europe’s Solheim Cup victory with a solid professional debut on the LPGA at the Canadian Open.
The 17-year-old carded rounds of 69 and 66 in the company of 2012 winner Lydia Ko, who went on to retain her title, before adding two scores of 71 to finish 17th.
Festival of Golf
Bob Clayton and Spencer Daniels made the ideal combination in the inaugural Festival of Golf tournament at Cold Ashby as they grabbed the top prize with 43 points.
Despite only be drawn to play together on the morning of the event, the duo dovetailed perfectly, particularly on the back nine, as they beat the father-and-son duo of Alan and Ian Wheatley on countback.
Brampton Heath
An excellent run of scores over the back nine helped Dale Ferguson clinch the August Stableford by two points from Roger Tebbutt (43).
The same winning total was also registered in the Seniors Charity Stableford as Ian Hall bagged 13 gross pars to nudge one ahead of Barry Nicholas and Roger Stobart.
A strong start to the inward stretch proved decisive for Richard Buswell in the August Midweek Stableford as he beat Mark Langley, Alec Francis and Ollie Salter on countback with 39 points.
Cherwell Edge
John Morrison (43) won the August Stableford by a single point from Phil Collett, while Liam Humphris and Darren Forbes (both 41) were next.
Rodney Jones birdied the 17th hole in the August Seniors Stableford as he grabbed the top prize on countback from two players with 41 points.
Cold Ashby
Stuart Nicholas and John Nicholas (40 points) won the Father And Son Tournament by three from Ian Wardle and David Wardle.
Isobel Robertson bagged 32 points in her last dozen holes during the Lady Captains Day as she finished four ahead of Lynne King and Jayne Neale (both 38).
One point was the difference between first and second in the August Seniors Stableford as Laurence Batch (43) collected the John Phipps Vets Trophy ahead of Ian Thomas.
Bob Clayton carded six gross birdies in the August Midweek Stableford to grab top spot by five points from Graham Bott (34).
Hellidon Lakes
Roy Trim lifted the Greenkeepers Cup after finishing two ahead of Craig Cotterill and Gary Osborne with 40 points.
In the bogey competition, Paul Upfield (five up) birdied two of the last three holes to clinch the Ken Hanley Cup. Len Edwards and Kevin Lovell (both four up) were next.
Kingsthorpe
Joe Treacy, Mark Todkill, Ryan Keeber and Michael Knight were the quartet to beat in the Tim Giles Texas Scramble as they grabbed the plaudits with a net 54.
Brothers Brian Mace and Jeff Mace (43 points) were successful in the President’s Trophy as they beat Jake Croxford and Mark Spence on countback. Leigh Woodward and Carl Jones won the Summer League Order of Merit.
Northampton
Ian Robins picked up the Grandfathers Putter after a round of net 64 pushed him three ahead of David Dare, who compiled the leading gross round of 73.
Margaret Nutt birdied the 15th hole on her way to a countback victory from Annie Goodchild (net 69) in the Ladies August Medal.
Countback was also needed in the seventh round of the Summer Series as Jon Warlow (40 points) squeezed in front of Adam Costain.
Northants County
Roger Morris (Collingtree Park) lifted the Colin Green Trophy after beating Farthingstone’s Dean Jelley on countback with a net 67.
Rob Camplisson (Wellingborough), Alastair Walker (Copt Heath) and Dan Wait (St Neots) clinched the top three divisions, while home club member Glenn Cottrell carded the best gross round of 73.
Harriet Billson compiled a magnificent round of net 60 in the Junior Open as she finished nine clear of Matt Myers, who clinched the gross prize.
Overstone Park
Forty five points was the best score in the August Yellow Tee Stableford as Melvyn Hayward beat fellow high-handicapper Jamie Liggins by four.
Graham Mummery’s 43 points were the leading total in the August Yellow Tee Midweek Stableford.
Richard Dalton carded six gross birdies and just one bogey as the county second team captain clinched the top section with 42.
Staverton
Troy Collins’ team were the victorious side in the Print Trophy Foursomes as they finished one clear with a score of net 70.5.
Louis Groenvald parred half the holes in the Vets August Stableford after bagging 43 points. Andrew Witcomb was next on 41.
Whittlebury
Steve Orrey compiled a consistent round of pars and bogeys on his way to victory in the Founders Cup. Barrie Vearncombe (40) finished one point adrift in second place.
In the latest 9 O’’Clock Club Competition, two points was the margin of success for Geoffrey Westgarth (43) as he secured the Captain’’s Trophy from Geoffrey Picken.

Peter Bretherton grabbed seven net birdies in the last 11 holes to nudge one clear of Allen Johnson and Geoffrey Chamberlain (both 36 points) in the 12th round of the Seniors Stableford Series.

Ron Neal’s 21 points were the best total in the fourth round of the Nine-hole Qualifier as he defeated Bert Howe by five.

Anne Wright had few problems clinching the Avon Medal as the ladies club champion secured a gross (84) and net (76) double.
