Eve Leonard was the star for Parklands Tigers, hammering in a first-half hat-trick as Parklands Tigers beat Corby Hellenic 8-1 in the under-14 division.

Parklands secured a well-deserved first win of the season.

They played good attacking football the whole game with a number of good passing moves.

Leonard helped herself to her first hat-trick with some clinical finishing and Parklands led 4-0 at half-time.

Tigers let in a sloppy goal at the beginning of the second half, but with some good finishing scored a further four goals to seal a comfortable win.

Also on the mark were Billie Swift, Dallas Ferguson, Courtney Henry, Amy Mann as well as an own goal.

Parklands are playing better every week and with their recent new signings are starting to hold their own in every game.

Team: Charlotte Mortimer, Molly Hughes, Dallas Ferguson, Billie Swift, Chloe Southgate, Olivia Willson, Courtney Henry, Eve Leonard, Anna Trzasta, Amy Mann, Hannah Linsley, Megan McKernan

BLISWORTH VIXENS

Lost 8-4 to Kettering

Scorers: Jessica Piff 2, Eloise Bailey 2

Team: Tabitha Luntz, Jade Ward, Sophie Marks, Sara Cassidy, Jessica Piff, Eloise Bailey, Tabitha Ward.

Report: Jessica Piff and Eloise Bailey both scored twice for Blisworth Vixens, but it wasn’t enough as they slipped to an 8-4 de4feat to Kettering in the under-12 division.

Kettering started the brighter and took advantage of this by scoring three quick goals.

Blisworth managed to respond and pulled a goal back.

For an unknown reason it took until the second half for the Blisworth team to switch on defensively and start passing the ball around.

Eloise Bailey (2) and Jessica Piff (2) pulled the scoreline back to 6-4, but Kettering scored another two goals late in the game.

On the balance of play Kettering were deserved winners however some great saves from the Kettering goalkeeper did prove pivotal in the game.

PARKLANDS TIGERS

Beat Earls Barton 4-2

Scorer: Teesha Henry 4

Team: Melanie Hinds, Amy Lethbridge, Fern Noble, Jasmine Eden, Chloe Wykes, Courtney Hyde, Aimee Smith, Teesha Henry, Emma Lewthwaite, Lucy Hodgson, Chloe Jones, Lois Drage, Chelsea Felix, Georgia Wykes

Report: An absolutely great performance by the girls, they passed the ball well and with the exception of 15 minutes at the start of the second half were by far the better team.

Barton took the lead against the run of play but Teesha equalised for Tigers within two minutes.

Teesha then scored her second, however Earls Barton levelled the game before half time.

But Teesha grabbed two more in the second to make the final score 4-2. It was good to have Georgia and Lois back and Aimee Smith and Amy Lethbridge were at their usual best.
